George – Director / Lead Advocate
Welcome, my name is George and my cultural background is Lebanese. I live with Polio-quadriplegia in the North West of Western Sydney. I am Disability Activist / Expert for Disability Inclusion and offer Leadership for People with Disability to understand and know of their life choices in the legal and complex realm of the greater community. I bring to Solution Ideas 45 years of experience of Community Development, initiating projects and supporting programs such as Wheelchair Sports in Push and Power, TAFE teacher / trainer in Cert III / Cert IV in Diploma of Disability Studies and My Choice Matters with CID. With Solution Ideas Ability-Boutique we aim to further the capacity of each individual to make informed choices. With the right supports, we believe individuals can live an enjoyable healthy life. My role will be to advise members of the organisation to implement best practice in Disability Inclusion with life choices, in the community and aid in breaking down the barriers that exist in the social setting.

Beverly – Co-Director / Disability Consultant
Hello my name is Beverly, my cultural background is Polynesian, living in North West of Western Sydney. I am a qualified Primary School teacher, currently working in community care for people with disability. I am progressing through pivoting my profession to develop a better understanding of human psychology, cognition and behaviour and apply that to innovative support for our community with Solution Ideas. With Solution Ideas, I aim to identify the gaps of support and leadership for children and adults of people with disability and bring their voice to an even playing field, through strategies as a mentor, developing supportive circles and advocacy.

Mary – Assistant Director / Disability Consultant / Registered Nurse
Hi my name is Mary, I’m from the Sierra Leone community, living in Western of Sydney. I have a strong passion for working in both the health and community sector, grasping the benefits of community innovation, growth as an individual and impacting on the lives of people. These are my greatest values that shape my identity and work ethics for human rights. I’m a qualified registered nurse, currently working as a care provider with Solutions Care. Working with Solution Ideas, I aim to support individuals find their voice, gain an understanding of their rights, and increase awareness of disability in society.

Abrahim – Accounts Manager

Hello my name is Abrahim and I am passionate about helping our community to be more accessible for people with disability. I live with a neuromuscular disorder, currently using a powered wheelchair, living in South Western Sydney. I am a developing Disability Activist with knowledge of Leadership, Engagement and Management, gaining experience as an Ambassador for Ability Links NSW, promoting inclusion for people with disability from the Culturally And Linguistically Diverse community. As well as a peer worker at Diversity and Disability Alliance, I am a qualified Accountant working as an Account Manager at Hope and Care Pty Ltd. What I bring to Solution Ideas is my contribution to many community projects through Peer Facilitation and Peer Mentoring, and being an active community Board Member of DDAlliance as Secretary, Treasurer and President. With Solution Ideas, I aim to bring my passion to share information as a Podcaster on Cripchat, a weekly podcast on everything disability, run by Australian Disability Limited and support people with disability to achieve their goals with Peer Mentoring and Circles of Support
Kevin – Marketing Manger

I’m Kevin Finlayson, Marketing Manager at Solution Ideas. I’ve worked across a variety of roles and industries, including Australia Post, Telstra, Path to Your Door (advocacy service), Active Care Network, and in real estate. I’ve also volunteered with the Penrith Disability Resource Centre and Nepean Hospital, where I developed a strong passion for supporting people with disabilities. Over the years, I’ve served on several boards and committees — including as Secretary and President of the Penrith Disability Resource Centre, Committee Member and Chairperson of the Physical Disability Council of NSW, and as part of the Penrith City Council Access Committee. I’m currently on the committee for the redevelopment of Nepean Hospital, helping ensure accessibility and inclusion remain priorities. As an Aboriginal Australian based in Sydney, with connections to regional areas such as Katoomba and Wollongong, I bring a diverse perspective to my work. I hold a Certificate III in Disabilities and have been an advocate for inclusion for over 35 years. At Solution Ideas, my focus is on encouraging people around employment and job training, and helping create pathways for individuals with disabilities to find meaningful opportunities. My goal is to see an inclusive society where everyone is valued and included, no matter their background or ability.

Hello, my name is Korey Gunnis, and I’m a subcontractor specialising in grants and tender management based in the Blue Mountains. With a background in community and disability services, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, a Master of Urban and Regional Planning, and a Master of Arts (Writing). I’m passionate about supporting organisations to secure the funding they need to bring meaningful ideas to life. My work focuses on developing high-quality proposals for projects that address social challenges and improve outcomes for individuals, particularly within the disability and community sectors. I enjoy transforming strong concepts into evidence-based submissions that align with funding priorities and deliver real impact. At Solution Ideas, I aim to identify funding opportunities, support service development, and strengthen our initiatives through strategic, well-crafted submissions. I believe in collaboration, listening to community voices, and working with passionate teams to build inclusive, resilient, and future-focused communities.

Faustina – support Coordinator /Registered Nurse

Hello, My name is Faustina Adu and I am a Support Coordinator /Registered Nurse. I am an African from West Africa(Ghana) but I live at Leppington in Australia. I am a Registered Nurse and completed my Bachelor of Nursing in Australia I am passionate about supporting people with disability to live with greater independence, dignity, and choice. Working in the NDIS space gives me the opportunity to contribute to meaningful change — helping participants achieve their goals while ensuring services are inclusive, accessible, and empowering. My motivation comes from seeing the positive impact that the right supports can have on someone’s quality of life. My goal is to contribute to Solution Ideas by identifying service gaps and co-creating innovative, person-centred solutions. I aim to bring empathy, creativity, and a problem- solving mindset to the work, whether that’s improving existing processes, supporting service design, or exploring new approaches to meet participant needs. I want to ensure participants feel heard, respected, and supported in ways that truly enhance their daily lives. I believe that the best solutions come from collaboration — listening closely to participants, families, and providers, and learning from lived experience. I value teamwork, openness, and continuous learning. I’m excited to be part of an organisation that is forward-thinking and committed to building stronger, more inclusive communities for people with disability.

Hello, my name is Julie, my cultural background is Fijian, and I enjoy expressing my emotions through creative writing (journaling) and Art. I live in South Western
Sydney and I am an active member of the Social Justice Charter working group, the new Disability Inclusion Action Plan Reference Group for 2026-2030 at Canterbury
Bankstown Council, Peer Member at Diversity Disability Alliance, and I am also a member of the Siblings Australia Reference group ( person with disability with lived
experience). I am passionate about changing perceptions, societal attitudes, and behaviours towards people with disability and I am a strong supporter of inclusive practices. I am excited to be working for an “inclusive” organisation who acknowledges and recognises more than fifty percent of our staff who are people with disability, with lived experience and shared knowledge across the board in different areas of the organisation. My goal at Solution Ideas is build my confidence that I have developed over the years with my involvement amongst my peers and a genuine support for others through the weekly and fortnightly well-being check-ins with our SI participants at our Navigation Hub here in Penrith.
Facilitators
Tammy – Facilitator / Storyteller

Hello my name is Tammy and I am working in story-telling and human rights-related roles. I have also participated many years as a facilitator for Circles of Support, most recently for Diversity and Disability Alliance. At the Council for Intellectual Disability, I attempted demystifying the NDIS and support people to tell and share their stories. My previous and ongoing roles include working with school-age children a role as Storyteller at the Story Factory, volunteering with young people in Australia and Timor Leste for photo-voice project, Foto Friendship, and as a biographer for the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network Palliative Care Biography project. For Solution Ideas I aim to bring my experience in Media roles that include 12 years with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and 30 years writing Play School. In my spare time, I enjoy making films and games that smell! I have studied a degree in film (AFTRS), Diploma in Counselling (ACAP) and Masters in Social Policy (UNSW)
