About Us

How it all started

From the spark of an idea to address the gaps in our community, the journey of Ability Boutique in Solution Ideas began with a cross-road of inspiration and a fierce determination to develop Solutions.

Our story

Solution Ideas was established in 2020 as a self contract service, working on pilot programs for the disability community along side Disability Peak Organisations. Solution Ideas worked on developing awareness, inclusion and fairness in the market for People with Disability. Disability activism was framed by the Social Model for People with Disability and Human Rights for People with Disability.

They are about:

  • being treated fairly
    • treating others fairly
      • making real choices in our daily lives.

We all have the same rights, no matter where we come from, what we look like or what we believe.

Ability Boutique was created in 2023 with the understanding that change for people with disability needs to exist throughout the various sectors of our Australian Industry. It was identified that social inclusion for people with disability needs support from our open market. With an understanding for leadership in our own life-choices, a multidisciplinary structure from Supportive Circles, Mentoring and Advocacy, as well as Training and Learning, enables a multifaceted approach to our business to achieve many positive outcomes.

Our approach

Our philosophy is we truly believe in promoting the Social Model of Disability and strongly embrace the Human Rights of all individuals. We also believe that we can work strongly with the broader community to develop an inclusive society. Part of our philosophy includes valuing the choices people make and striving towards achieving their goals / making change.

We embrace four models of disability –
